Typical Macedonian Greek surname containing the hypocoristic form Moulis of Thomas (Thomoulis) and typical northern greek pronounciation of Mesolongi as Missulong.
«ἐξ ἱστορίας ἐὰν ἄρῃς τὴν ἀλήθειαν, τὸ καταλειπόμενον αὐτῆς ἀνωφελὲς γίνεται διήγημα»

"if you take truth from history what is left is but an idle tale"

    Polybius [XII.12.3]

    «Άλλου ναύτς κ΄άλλου καντηλανάφτς !!! »

Greek proverb in the Macedonian dialect of Modern Greek

"If we go to Nigeria and name one of its regions "Macedonia", in 30 years from now most Nigerians will believe to be descended from Clitus the Black".

Bravo Doc!I wonder how did I miss out Kasomoulis! He lived for many years in Serres and was a close associate of Emmanouil Papas (both became members of Philiki Etaireia probably at the same time),while his son Kostas was a good friend of Papa's son Anastasios, whom they met in the siege of Mesolongi.

Btw,some info more on Kasomoulis by non-Greek authors:
