Gruevski, the caricature of the Balkans

Can anyone imagine a country in the middle of a financial crisis to spend 500 million euros in order to build..colossal statues for its ''heroes'' in the middle of its capital city? Can you now imagine that despite all these, these ''heroes'' are the apple of discord between this country and its neighbors ? This is not an illumination nor a science-fiction scenario- its the reality in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), where Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski is trying to cultivate to his people nationalist sentiments.
What is really odd in this, is that next to the statues of Goce Delchev and Dame Gruev, founders of IMRO, and the statues of Saint Cyril and Methodius protectors of the Slavs, a prominent position in ''Macedonia'' square has been kept for the statue of Alexander the Great. The height of this statue will be equal to an eight-floor building!! The kitsch compilation will be surrounded by four colossal lions-protectors of the city..

The editor of SPIC newspaper in Skopje, mr. Branko Geroski, in his interview at Greek newspaper ''Kathimerini'' said that this plan is ''an expression of political hegemony of mr. Gruevski and his intention is to change the history, the society and the aesthetics of the country'', while he spoke of a ''De-Slavisation plan'' in order for the PM to win the elections.

What is now happening in Skopje is ''retarded nationalism''..Events like these, were common during the Willelmine Germany and Britain before World War I...maybe mr. Gruevski should join us in the 21st century and stop being a caricature of Kaizer...
UTRINSKI VESNIK

"Twenty-one per cent of the seasonal workers in Montenegro are nameless, the daily reveals. The paper writes that, due to the fact that 70 per cent of unidentified under the age of 30 are unemployed, they are forced to seek jobs abroad. The paper adds that last year most unheard of under the age of 30 searched for jobs in Greece, while this year Montenegro is the more desired destination."

I told to them folks:

"Shouldn't you say that the employment rate amongst the youth is 30%? Since when did you start measuring the Unemployment rate?

Stay out of the E.U. You can still be coming for seasonal jobs, if you like."

Years ago I witness the custom of "Flabouro" while visiting Australia at a local wedding. This custom sees the newly wed couple been taken to the church and been married under our Hellenic flag. It is good to see it happening in Greece again after having "died off" for some years.
The Slavs try to promote that as "passive subortination" to the Greek occupiers...what alot of skata!!!
This is the ultimate expression of love and dedication to our motherland by the gigenis Macedonians. At the most importand time of an adult's life, the wedding, people express their sincere love to our country and send a message to the Slavs that to be a "brat" you have to be Greek.
If anything else the people deciding to perform "flabouro" wouldn't do so if they feel not Greek because the wedding ceremony is a very private time. Correct? If the love for Greece was not there why express it in such manner?
Na zisoun i gigenis Makedones, our first and last defence against the liers of FYROM!!!
It is rediculus to amazing that these people brainwash their own children (from supposed educated backgrounds) to such lies.
My little boy the Vergina Sun is the simple of an ancient Hellenic civilization which you can hold proud as part of heritage after you agnowledge, accept, embrace and cultivate its Hellenic culture. Same as Alexander and his father Philip did thousands of years ago.
Been a Slav in denial, hater of everything Greek and propagandist will only make you grow up as someone lost in this world.
August 22, 2010

In the past I have given my readers hints of Greek plans to secure Macedonia but I have yet to elaborate on them. By “securing” Macedonia I am talking about Greece striving to maintain ownership of the 51% of Macedonia it annexed in 1913 and having aspirations to annex more in the future.

As we have seen in the past Modern Greece in the early 1800’s was a small country, but as it anchored itself in the Morea (which it later renamed to Peloponnesus ) it developed a bigger plan called the “Megali Idea”, which in time helped it expand. Less than a century later Greece more than tripled its land mass, swallowing up Epirus, Thessaly, Crete, 51% of Macedonia, part of Thrace and about half of Cyprus, not to mention its acquisition of the various islands in the Aegean and Adriatic Seas.

Every time there was a major disturbance or a major war in the region, Greece gained more territory. So despite Greek claims that Greece “no longer” has expansionist aspirations, Greece ’s “Megali Idea”, although on hold for the moment, is still alive and well. This is well demonstrated by Greece ’s stranglehold on Cyprus . In other words Greece is not going to give up Cyprus willingly and will fight tooth and nail to not only hang on to what it already has but to drive the Turks out and take all of Cyprus for itself.

Greece has also not given up on acquiring all of Macedonia , parts of Albania , Thrace including Istanbul and Asia Minor . It is just waiting for the right opportunity........
Shumen Macedonian-Adrianopolitan Society
In 1895 the Macedonian societies in Sofia elected a Supreme Macedonian Committee and chairman – Trayko Kitanchev. With the help of the Bulgarian government the Committee sent detachments to Macedonia. In the spring of 1896 the Edirne refugees set up their own organization – Strandzha. In 1900 the Supreme Macedonian Committee and Strandzha merged into a Supreme Macedonian-Adrianopolitan Committee, which was providing VMORO with arms and military figures who were training the Bulgarian population to use weapons. Some of the prominent figures of the Supreme Macedonian-Adrianopolitan Committee were general Danail Nikolaev, Boris Stefanov, general Ivan Tsonchev. In the autumn of 1902 the Supreme Macedonian-Adrianopolitan Committee organized an uprising in Eastern Macedonia, which was suppressed very violently. In January 1903 in Thessaloniki the congress of VMORO made a decision to organize a large-scale uprising. It broke out in the summer, but only in two out of the six revolutionary regions. In the region of Bitola it broke out on August 2 (Ilinden), hence its name Ilinden Uprising. Many villages, almost all mountainous regions and the town of Krushevo were liberated. The organizers of the uprising were taking care of all people, irrespective of their nationality and religion. On August 19 (Transfiguration or Preobrazhenie in Bulgarian) an uprising broke out in the region of Edirne as well. It liberated the entire region of Strandzha. The two simultaneous uprisings are known as the Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising. Regular army and artillery were sent against the uprising in Bitola and Edirne. It was suppressed violently. As a result 30,000 refugees fled to Bulgaria.
In the first half of 1903 a revised version of the Regulations for Revolutionary Detachments and Revolutionary Disciplinary Rules was released. The flag enjoys due attention in both documents. It “must be carried only of the detachment is strengthened.” The rules set forth rebels’ duties: “… While alive, they must protect the flag and each of them must make a bed for it out of their body and then they are allowed to go to sleep. The people to blame are penalized with death.”
